Notes
- Ken Schwartz's own handwritten bag note reads the mine name, "scar," and "10K" — his shorthand; the meaning of "10K" isn't established elsewhere in this collection.
- Ozuku (大突) is a small, largely depleted Umegahata-area mine — supply from it is scarce compared to better-known Kyoto mines like Nakayama and Okudo.
Condition
- Stone: A linear mark runs along the face, visible in the raking-light photos. Light rust-toned mottling appears near one edge. No chips or losses at the working corners.
- Please review the pictures of this stone prior to purchase. Make sure to closely check the raking light photograph to examine the features of the working face. When in doubt, contact Pacific Waterstone.

Provenance
Everything we carry comes from the personal collection of Ken Schwartz — the sharpener behind Precise Sharpening, who built the Nubatama line and gathered the naturals that sat beside it on his bench. The synthetics are new and unused. The naturals were his.
