Notes
- Box label reads 丹波國特産 本山青砥 鑪山元 — identifying this stone as Tanba-region Aoto from the same mountain source (Yariyama) as its sibling stone, PW-B-005.
- Ken Schwartz's handwriting on the original box reads "4/12/19, Aoto."
- Natural reddish/orange mineral veining is visible across portions of the stone, a naturally occurring characteristic rather than a defect.
Condition
- Stone: Working face is in great condition with a crisp stamp. Natural mineral veining is visible on the stone.
- Please review the pictures of this stone prior to purchase. Make sure to closely check the raking light photograph to examine the features of the working face. When in doubt, contact Pacific Waterstone.

Everything we carry comes from the personal collection of Ken Schwartz — the sharpener behind Precise Sharpening, who built the Nubatama line and gathered the naturals that sat beside it on his bench. The synthetics are new and unused. The naturals were his.
